Often referred to as the ‘Master of Amplification’, Olabode has over 26 years of experience in different aspects of full integrated Marketing Communications such as Strategy Development and Implementation, Media Relations, Reputation Management, Event Management, Sponsorships, Sports Marketing, Fairs/Exhibitions and Promotions. He has been involved in brand leveraging in different parts of the world, with most of the activations in Nigeria, Ghana and Benin Republic. He was until the end of July, 2017 the Director of Public Relations, Events & Promotions for Globacom, one of Nigeria’s leading telecommunication service providers where he worked for 13 years, eight months. He also worked at African Newspaper of Nigeria Plc for eight years, rising to the post of Editor, Tribune on Saturday. He is a Fellow of World Press Institute based in Macalester College, Minnesota, USA, Poynter Institute, Florida, USA and the Reuters Foundation Fellowship, UK. He holds a Masters of Managerial Psychology (MMP) degree from the University of Ibadan as well as Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication from both The Polytechnic Ibadan and Moshood Abiola University of Technology, Abeokuta.
